Hello! I'm Tinus Potgieter, a Gold Coast business broker, Certified Professional Business Broker (CPBB), AIBB member, and holder of a full Queensland Real Estate Licence (Licence No. 4817901).

 

I live and work on the Gold Coast — based in Mudgeeraba — with Brisbane and broader South East Queensland a natural extension of my market.

I work as part of Gold Coast Business Brokers, established in 2004 with over $500 million in completed sales — which means I combine personal commitment with the reach, systems, and buyer network of a longstanding and proven team. Transparent, integrity-driven transactions where both sides walk away satisfied — that's the standard I hold myself to.

 

My focus is straightforward: I'm here to sell your business, not just list it. There's a significant difference, and most sellers only discover it after months of frustration.

 

I specialise in manufacturing, light industrial, trade services, B2B products and services, wholesale and distribution, and niche business sales on the Gold Coast and broader South East Queensland. Completed sales span B2B products and services, e-commerce, and equipment hire and rental.

My edge as a broker comes from an unusual combination. I'm also a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)), and before becoming a broker I sat on the executive management team of a large, diversified South African listed group, directly involved in mergers, acquisitions, and business disposals across retail, food, agribusiness, automotive, petroleum, horticulture, and forestry. I know what a deal looks like from the inside, and I know exactly what buyers and their advisors will scrutinise in due diligence. That means I can help you prepare your business properly, price it realistically, and navigate the process without the surprises that derail most deals. I won't tell you what you want to hear — I'll tell you what you need to know, and then I'll do the real work to get you the best outcome out there.

 

On a personal note, I have a wonderful wife who is a teacher, and together we're raising four amazing kids.
